Would you get me some ice honey?

January 31st, 2009 by Howard | 4 Comments | Filed in Main

Yep, in older days, this is what you had to do to go get some ice. This is a scan of a large photograph I inherited from my mother. I don’t know if this is one of my distant relatives or just a scenic photograph. Looking closely at the guy, I would say he just might be a relative.

Sadly, the original has seven tears, but I was able to photo shop them out.

Peace out people.

Road Clicks

This is some sort of hubcap, or part of a hubcap maybe. I see it every day on the way to work. If you look closely, you can see my green truck reflected in it.

This is some guy I photographed through my driver side mirror.

And this my friends, is what the 95ExpressNOT lane has done to I-95. 95express01-28-2009I am so disgusted with this that I just don’t care anymore. Our government is so stupid, so bloated, so blind to the needs and desires of the people that they don’t even pretend anymore.

I fear the only way we can take back our country and freedom from these government ass weasels is through some sort of cultural revolution. But the people are too busy watching American Idol and reality shows.

I think I’m going to burn my voter’s registration card as protest.  Between things like this and the Marlins stadium and the Democratic Pork Bill I just plain give up.

Gigapan.org – Amazing Detailed Photos

January 27th, 2009 by Howard | 3 Comments | Filed in Main

A hat tip to my wife for this link that I spent about a full day on recently. They have developed a robotic camera holder for many digital point and shoot cameras that takes hundreds or thousands of photographs of the same large scene and using special software, stitches the images together to create the most detailed images I have ever seen. The first one on the page now is a panoramic photograph President Obama’s inauguration. You can see what looks like thousands of people, but then you can zoom all the way in close to view just one person. It is amazing. But there are many more photographs. I found one panoramic of a beach in Florida, and you can zoom so close you can count the lint in women’s navels.   Privacy? Not in this day and age!

Clear your day, you will be busy!
