Change Your Password

At last count I have over 50 computer passwords for use with various work and personal uses. That does not count pin numbers for debit cards, etc.

About a year ago I strengthen my passwords by adding letters and numbers to them. Along the way I began consolidating passwords. As I changed one (usually because I forgot it) I changed it to this one preferred strong password.

The one I had attached to my Linkedin account, which apparently was hacked and stolen today. At least, 6.5 million passwords were acquired by a Russian hacker-scumbag who posted them online.

So, now I’ve been searching down all those various websites, Best Buy, Amazon, online banks, you name it, to change the passwords. The hacker supposedly has usernames too so in theory they could try your username and password on other sites.

What a pain in the ass.

The Moderate Party?

In light of the Pew Research report that shows that Democrats are more left than ever, and Republicans are more right than ever, that the two groups are pretty much enemies, I wonder if we need a third party?

All it takes is five minutes of listening to the Sean Hannity show to wonder if he is talking about the Democrats or Satan himself? If ever there was a guy who knows how to hate, it is Sean.

Then again, Democrats took to twitter last night when Wisconsin Governor Walker won his election with massive death threats. Begging for someone to kill the Republican. Here we had an election where the people of Wisconsin voted and cable news guys are freaking out on the air, and one unidentified guy was crying tears that “Democracy has died”. I thought they had an election? WTF?

I am not trying to pick on one party over the other.  Republicans are exactly as bad as the Democrats.

Instead of an extreme third party, one from the far left or far right, maybe we need a moderate party? One down the middle? Apparently, there is no political party representing those citizens.

Are there any moderate Democrats or Republicans left? If we could find a few maybe they could leave their respective party and start the American Moderate Party? Get a few senators, governors to join, and let them sit right in the middle, not too left, not too right, and I bet they could make inroads into the political system.

As it turns out, there already is an American Moderate Party.  Taking a quick look at their positions it seems to me they are more to the right of center. So, maybe we have to call the new party something different. The Middle Party? Middle of the Road Party? The Majority Party?

Would you vote for a Moderate candidate?
