At last count I have over 50 computer passwords for use with various work and personal uses. That does not count pin numbers for debit cards, etc.
About a year ago I strengthen my passwords by adding letters and numbers to them. Along the way I began consolidating passwords. As I changed one (usually because I forgot it) I changed it to this one preferred strong password.
The one I had attached to my Linkedin account, which apparently was hacked and stolen today. At least, 6.5 million passwords were acquired by a Russian hacker-scumbag who posted them online.
So, now I’ve been searching down all those various websites, Best Buy, Amazon, online banks, you name it, to change the passwords. The hacker supposedly has usernames too so in theory they could try your username and password on other sites.
What a pain in the ass.
