Are We Insane?

Yep. We think as human beings we are the most intelligent form of life on this one tiny planet. But we are only comparing ourselves to rocks, tree bark, beavers and owls. In other words, let’s say the scale of intelligence ranges from 1 to 100. Squirrels are 5, dogs 4, cats 11, birds 6, etc. We are 20. Wow, so vastly more intelligent than rocks who barely score a 1.

But if the scale goes to 100, where would “damn stupid” end and “mildly stupid” start? I say anything under 30 is ridiculously stupid. I say maybe just modestly moronic doesn’t even begin until 40. Room temperature smart at 60.

You see, we are only comparing ourselves to those beneath us in intelligence. The fact that we think we are the most intelligent life form on the planet is like patients in a home for the criminally stupid arguing among themselves who is the smarter.

Case in point? Dr. James Tracy, a communication professor at Florida Atlantic University who thinks the Sandy Hook massacre could have been staged by the Obama administration. On a radio show and on his website memoryholeblog.com he asserts that trained “crisis actors” may have been employed by the Obama administration in an effort to shape public opinion in favor of the event’s true purpose: gun control.

Yeah. We be that crazy.

I think we may need to move cats up the scale a few points and mankind down a few……..
