I’ve not visited the Broadwalk on the beach in Hollywood, FLĀ in a few years and I had heard that they had improved it. Since I was up early this morning, I grabbed my Canon 50D and my Canon G12 and drove the ten miles to the beach.

Despite the early hour on a Sunday, the place was busy with walkers and bikers.
Also, photographers were in abundance. I saw at least half a dozen guys walking about with cameras and tripods and the usual junk people want to carry.
This dude below took my photograph as I sat on the sidewalk leaning against a building with my legs crossed Indian style. So, I took his photo.
We chatted a moment about the quality of the light, but since he was a Nikon Man and I a Canon Guy, we knew it was best to part ways quickly.
Besides, there were many other more interesting subjects about.
I am not altogether sure what I did to acquire this image, but I kind of like it. Gives the perception that the broad walk was busy, which it indeed was.
Interesting what angle you can achieve when you put the camera on the ground.
There was a mixture of old people, middle aged and young. Granted, it was extremely early so many of the restaurants and shops were not open yet.
This guy below was actually walking fast and completing a crossword puzzle. Talk about multitasking!
Many of the buildings have been improved or cleaned up. It doesn’t look as nice as Las Olas/A1A in Fort Lauderdale or South Beach, but it is getting there.
Here is another one of those odd images that I like.
This is a peaceful scene….
The architecture isn’t anywhere as interesting or unique as South Beach, but there are a couple of interesting structures.
After leaving the beach I headed to Starbucks for a breakfast sandwich for my wife.
Not a bad way to start a Sunday….
