Shoplifters in Sidney Australia beware, www.whotube.com is broadcasting your “Grab and Go” efforts for the world to see. According to an article in the Sidney Morning Herald:

Shopkeepers are fighting back against thieves with a vigilante website set up by a group of off-duty and former police officers. Retailers are able to upload images and CCTV footage of people they accuse of shoplifting onto whotube.com. The public can help shopkeepers as well as service station owners and taxi drivers gather information about alleged thieves, which is then shared with police or other retailers to help identify suspected robbers.

Whoever came up with the idea of internet domain extensions of XXX was either a financial genius or a total idiot. The initial rational for creating XXX domains was so all the porn scumbags out there can migrate to XXX and everyone will know what their content is about. Porn surfers could easily identify the porn sites, and non-porn surfers would too and know to stay away. I imagine in theory parental controls would work better too,

So, after many years of struggling to get this approved, it was finally approved recently. They are selling like no other extension in history! The problem? Most of the domains purchased are legitimate non-porn business who are terrified that some porn site will set up under their name. Almost all colleges and universities have purchased their XXX domains as a defensive move to prevent porn sites from doing it. National companies have done the same, as well as most celebrities. (At least, those not in the porn business.)

So, a bizillion dollars is being made off of xxx and guess what? There is no way to determine if an xxx site is porn or not unless you visit it. So, forget that original concept.

I was tempted to purchase somebloggingguy.xxx but instead of $10 bucks or so, the going rate for xxx domains is $99 a year at best.

I did notice that pembrokepines.xxx was still available though…..

Peace Out People.
