STUPID:
1. lacking ordinary quickness and keenness of mind; dull.
2. characterized by or proceeding from mental dullness; foolish; senseless: a stupid question.
No, that is not the word I am looking for.
MORON:
Informal . a person who is notably stupid or lacking in good judgment.
No, that is not it either.
IDIOT:
Informal . an utterly foolish or senseless person.
Close, but no.
I am looking for a word that describes perfectly normal people with normal or above normal intelligence, access to the World Wide Web, an educational system and plenty of other resources, but who deliberately refuse to use their brain cells. These people are not dumb, nor unable to read or stupid or mentally challenged at all. They have an excellent brain filled to the brim with healthy brain cells. That they refuse to utilize.
It is one thing when someone is mentally challenged, in possession of a minus 90 IQ. But when a intelligent person with a sound brain take stupid actions, what do you call that? Lazy Brain?
If unused brains could be sold on ebay, Americans could solve our national debt in a month by selling everyone’s unused brains! (I’m sure the French would buy them!)
So, we need a word that means that.
I am thinking of Ass Weasel.
Ass Weasel
An otherwise person of normal intelligence and education who deliberately deactivate their critical thinking skills and thus appear for all purposes and intentions to be a flaming freaking idiot.
Yeah,. That’s it.
Some Blogging Guy
alrighty then . . . . .what specific situation or situations are you referring to – what has set you off????? hmmmm?
A tough week at work with many people who have a brain but simply don’t turn it on. Plus at work I am drowning in millions of gallons of federal regulations and rules. Talk about Ass Weasels….
Ooh, ooh! Are you talking about the folks who’ll read one paragraph, out of a whole series explaining a complicated theme, and come to a conclusion totally unsupported by the rest of the story?
Yeah, Ass Weasels
but that’s just my opinion
“Plus at work I am drowning in millions of gallons of federal regulations and rules. Talk about Ass Weasels….”
Ass Weasels is not the word, either. Attorneys is the word. Most, if not all, of our laws and regulations are written by attorneys and they do not really want you to understand. They, as part of the government, have power over you and can interpret the regulations to mean whatever they want them to mean at any given time for whatever reason they want and don’t necessarily have to share the reasons with you. It’s a power trip!
Attorney is just Ass Weasel misspelled
Can’t dispute that!
Steve, Ivan, way to go! Thanks!
